Kongshallene Fredriksten fortress Halden. Inside the fortress area itself is one of Norway's most exciting and unique function rooms. The royal halls, as with their vaults, date back to the 17th century. The royal halls were built over a 20-year period, and were completed in 1669. They were once used as a base for soldiers and as many as 450 men are said to have been housed in the three vaults.

The royal halls were restored in 1989 and taken into use as a function room two years later. It is a pleasure for us to run a restaurant business in these premises, which our guests also greatly appreciate. Kongshallene is the place for the big events and has with its special evenings been recognized far beyond Halden's borders.

Minimum order

There is only a minimum order of 10 dishes to rent the room, it corresponds to about 4000kr. Menu is at the bottom as an attachment on the page here.
